The most outstanding Benetton’s designs in its new spring / summer 2009 collection are: military-cut garments in greenish colors, pants full of pockets, stretch pants, belts and buckles, lightweight and pleated skirts, mini-jackets, and boleros. Soft fabrics, cotton and leather are the predominant materials.
As usual, the folk style is present but in a reinvented way. This time is the time for mini dresses, waist jackets, elastic fabrics, flowers and wide skirts. Striped designs and garments with vertical cuts are options for this season as well as empire-line dresses and skirts.
Although there is hot weather, Benetton proposes thin jerseys in multiple colors under a cardigan in order to add contrast to the outfit. Pleated dresses and flared dresses will be in fashion this summer. They are always a great choice for day-to-day use.
Checkered designs and gray tones will also be a trend in summer, although they should not be combined with black or white. Instead, they should be combined with contrasting and strong colors to add life to your look: you can use those colors in your pantyhose, handbags and accessories.
