Sao Paulo Fashion Week finished its first day of fashion shows with the participation of the Brazilian top model Gisele Bundchen after the former French-Brazilian model Beth Lagardere attended an event that served as homage to her career. The event was part of the celebration of the “Year of France” in Brazil.
This year, the 27th Sao Paulo Fashion Week (SPFW), which is the most noted fashion event in Latin America, was called “Passion-Paixao”. On Wednesday, there were presentations of summer 2009/2010 collections (southern hemisphere) by local brands with international reputation such as Osklen, Paola Robba, Priscila Darolt, V. Rom, Raquel Davidowicz and Colcci.
In this fashion week, some people had many expectation of the presence of Gisele Bundchen and Jesus Luz (who is supposed to be the boyfriend of the Pop Queen Madonna). Of course, the collections are the main reasons why people attend this exhibition. The first day, the clothing company Colcci was in charge of closing the session.
Colcci opted for a very casual and relaxed style based on natural colors and brown palettes. With these features, the company showed jeans, tank tops and overlapped garments (vests, decorations, suspenders and necklaces) which added a special touch to the fashion show.
