Celebrities adores Giambattista Valli. And now they will adore him more because of his collection for next summer he has presented during two days in Paris. Maybe Valli will become the head designer for more celebrities. And maybe for us, the simple people, if we can afford it.

One more time Valli has showed his voluminous items and extravagancy by means of spectacular dresses that are worthy of the best shows of “haute couture”. Although many designers are working with futurism and conceptual fashion, his baroque style is appreciated. Of course, it could look old-fashioned but the magnificent femininity of Valli’s designs is a delight for the senses and a gift for the eyes.

Sure, his style is not suitable for pragmatic people.

Maybe this collection is a homage to his teacher Cristobal Balenciaga and a public declaration of his intention of going beyond the line and being part of the top designers, maybe as member of Valentino fashion house, now when Alessandra Facchinetti has been fired.  A lot has been said about it but, at this time, there is not any confirmation. Anyway, it is not necessary to be in a hurry because the “appetizer” that Valli present us with his collection is the best way to introduce what will come later.

It has been rumored that Jennifer Lopez insists on dressing her twins in new designer clothes every day.

The 38 year-old star, who is married to singer Marc Anthony, doesn’t like that her daughter Emme and her son Max (five-months-old) wear the same thing twice.

A source told Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper: “Jennifer was approached by a charity and asked to donate some dresses for a celebrity auction. She agreed and donated a gorgeous $10,000 frock”.

“She also offered some of Max and Emme’s clothes, telling organizers that she never lets them ‘repeat’ outfits. But the auction deals only in adult clothes. Jennifer told them it was a shame, as some items cost over $1,000 each”.

Singer Britney Spears met with a clothes designer to start to produce a new clothing line for children with her personal touch, according to a report published in the magazine People.

Spears had a private talk with designer Christian Audigier at the Ed Hardy offices (a clothing store). At the end of the appointment, Nicole Irving -the representative of the company- explained that it was not a simple visit.

“She wants to work on a clothing line with Christian”, Irving commented. Besides, Irving pointed out that it was a private meeting, but they are “planning to do a children’s clothing line”.

Spears wanted talk to the former designer of the fashion company Von Dutch to discuss the project because Britney loves his work, according to Irving.
