The Sao Paulo Fashion Week (SPFW), which is the most important fashion showcase in Latin America, shows fashion trends for the next southern summer in an environment of billion-dollar deals.
Fashion parades, at the Ibirapuera park pavilions, indicate that next summer will be full of short skirts and big clothes with many prints and colors, except the jeans, which will be tight and light, almost white.
“Brazilians bring excitement, they bring sex, they bring energy and they bring an incredible line to the body”, said Juliet Warkentin, content director for Worth Global Style Network. “They’re very interested in the line and the shape of the body. And a huge amount of texture and detail. More detail on the clothes here than I’ve seen in a lot of other cities recently”, she added.
The organizers hope dozens of represented brands can close sales of hundreds of millions of dollars in a business event running in parallel.
