Jenna Bush will wear a wedding dress designed by Oscar de la RentaIn a few days, Jenna Bush will say “yes, I do” to the lawyer Henry Hager at the family’s Crawford ranch in Texas (USA). The bride has chosen a wedding gown designed by Oscar de la Renta (a Dominican fashion designer), who is one of her mother’s favorite designers. (Of course, her mother is First Lady Laura Bush).

Her only sister, Barbara, will be the maid of honor, who will be accompanied by other 14 ladies. They will wear short chiffon dresses by Lela Rose. Barbara’s dress will be a long moonstone-colored shimmery gown with an antique silver belt and a low-cut back. For the 14 attendants, Rose has created seven knee-length chiffon dresses in different colors: blue, yellow, green and lavender.

All these details were obtained from an interview in Vogue magazine, where Jenna said her dress is “simple and elegant”: organza with embroidery, matte beading and a small train. She also explains the reasons to choose the family’s ranch and not the White House for the wedding.

“I wanted to be at home, and I wanted it to feel natural and I wanted it to be a private thing. It’s the one day of my life — it happens once — that I want to have a private time with Henry and my family. Plus, I’m not that glamorous. I’m more an outdoor type”, said Jenna. It will be an outdoor wedding and the ceremony will begin at 7:30 p.m (on May 10). They will have about 200 guests and, after the wedding, they will move into the 128-year-old, two-bedroom, two-bath townhouse on the south side of Baltimore. They paid $440,000 for that.
