Are the superheroes in tights promoting a new male fashion trend? Or is it just that some men think they look great with pantyhose?
This summer, “Batman: The Dark Knight” is a huge success. And maybe a new fashion trend in men’s hosiery, inspired by the superhero, could be imposed.
Retailer companies in Europe and United States point out that many men have been buying pantyhose (sheer, satin, glossy, opaque or support) in recent months, and the sales are increasing even more rapidly in the last days.
“We aren’t sure if it is the Batman effect or what, but sales to men have been going through the roof,” said Kieran Hughes, director of Precious Collections, a hosiery dealer, with headquarters in UK.
