This year, as every year, Time magazine has chosen the “gadget of the year”. It is a title that usually is given to some noted technological gadgets like iPhone (that was the winner in 2007) or Macbook Pro (2006). Contrary to this, the 2008 winner of the “gadget of the year” is a device named “Peek”.
Peek is a very unknown device but it has charmed some users because it has an important feature that is not so common in other popular gadgets out there: Simplicity.
Basically, Peek is an e-mail checker. It comes with a service that offers unlimited data for a flat monthly rate and the device is used only to administer up to 3 e-mail accounts. In addition to the simplicity, its price is lower than $ 80. The flat monthly rate is lower than $ 20.
Besides, Peek doesn’t take up much space in your pocket because it is extremely thin and the battery offers up to 5 power days. Of course, it is not perfect: for example, at this time you cannot see pictures or videos there. And it is not able to make calls. But is a perfect gadget for you if you only need to check and send regular e-mails.
