Dell continues listening and paying more attention to the public who prefers more mobility in these days. For that reason, the company is offering small and lightweight products but without forgetting the strong capabilities and the quality. This could be seen in the ultraportable Inspiron M301z with a metallic-like finish but without an optical drive to obtain a thiner and lighter design.

USB wireless modems are great and have really redefined mobility, portability, and multitasking in more ways than you can count but the technology seems to be a lot slower to develop than some others—stores are still selling sticks that were designed years ago, or millennia in tech-time.  However, Engadget got hold of some leaked slides from a T-Mobile marketing presentation that appear to show an upgraded version of its wildly popular webConnect Rocket 2.0 USB laptop stick that seem to point a near-future release for the greatly improved device.   Read the rest of this entry »

Sporting the same 10.1 inch design its younger brother the D260 does, the D255 doesn’t look much different at first.  However, when you dig a little deeper (and by that I mean crack the case and look at the guts) it’s a slightly better machine though the external design is a bit tired. This 17.3 inch weighs 7.3 pound and won’t fit into your laptop case but it sure to do what it was built to do—compute!  The 2.26GHz Core i3-350M processor combined with the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470 provide blazing fast speeds and the playback capabilities are only limited by the monitor.  Howe3ver, is the $1,000 price tag a deal breaker? On May 1, Samsung made a first introduction of its notebooks series corresponding to the Q-Serie (in UK) and now the multinational conglomerate corporation has introduced them officially in the Korean territory. It is a line of portable computers comprised by three models: Q530, Q430, and Q330. Those models will be available soon around the world.

If you’re looking to get your grubby paws on one of Pixel Qi’s revolutionary dual display screens, you’re going to have to wait a little longer.  The first batch of screens went on sale July 1^st here in the states but they sold out within 24 hours.  However, you can pre-order from the second batch now and they will ship when available.  But why would you want one anyway? 3D laptop? Yeah! Toshiba will be the maker of one of the first laptops with this great technology that intensifies the user experience when playing videogames or when using multimedia applications. Once again, the company is breaking the mold of the tradition in the computers industry by introducing its first 3D laptop: Satellite A665 (3D version). In addition, this computer is also the first laptop which comes with the new line of elements called “Sleep & Music”, which was entirely designed by the Japanese company as a way to improve the enjoyment of music, even if the computer is turned off.
