For all of you who don’t get the Johnny Cash reference in the title, Johnny sings a song called “A Boy Named Sure” about a young fellow whose father gives him a girl’s name to make him tough enough for the hard life ahead. Jetway had a similar approach to naming their latest nettop (the JBC600C99-52W.) It’s not a catchy name and probably won’t sell many of these boxes which is kind of bad. For an ultra-light PC, this machine is just about perfect.

This new EeeBox is an upgrade of the venerable EB1501 and looks to have had some major work done under the hood to boost performance. It seems to be the healthier and more robust cousin of the ASUS EeeBox EB1501U and will probably retail for around the same price point (if the 1501U ever hits the market—it debuted at CeBIT but has yet to hit shelves!
