New pocket gizmos and gadgets

The new gadgets that are appearing in the market are characterized not only by their usefulness, but also by their reduced size.

It seems that, when the makers are going to produce and market some electronic products, the fundamental presumption is that those products will be small enough to be carried in a pocket. An example of this is the Polaroid mini printer called Zink (see the video below), which allows users to print photos without needing to use ink cartridges because this printer actually uses Amorphochromic crystals that are heat-reactive and provide the necessary colors to see an image on a 5×7 sheet.

Another small and useful gadget is the Sun Drive (by Zyrus), a solar charger and USB memory. It is available with a capacity of up to 16 GB. This device is covered by a solar panel in order to provide extra hours of power for your mobile phone.

Lastly, it is necessary to mention a new, very interesting and tiny gadget: The Samsung MBP200, a portable projector that can be used not only for projecting the stored contents on a surface (thanks to a tiny stand that can turn a piece of paper into a screen), but also for browsing the images by using its built-in 2.2-inch screen. This product is a convenient option to make a quick presentation of images without needing a complex and big projector attached to a computer.

Thanks for the information. I am very interested in mini Polaroid printers. But I have 2 question for different product:
    1. Does this printer uses a specific type of paper or just use a regular photo paper?
    2. When using the sun drives, whether we should be in place in the sun or just in the light? Example of the light.

    Regard.

    Gina,

    1. We recommended using Polaroid ZINK Photo Paper

    2. Sticking it into a USB port will charge the built-in Lithium Ion battery in about 50 minutes, but you can charge the sun drive by exposing it under the sun during about 15 hours. After the sun drive is charged, you can use it to re-charge your mobile gadgets and you don’t need light or sun.
