Nintendo hopes its new cube-shaped motion sensor called Wii MotionPlus will take the Wii controls to a new level of precision.
Regarding the features of this new Nintendo device, there is not anything amazing we can distinguish. It is not eccentric like a zapper or “sexy” like a steering wheel. Even, it doesn’t inform if the user is losing weight, but the games maker hopes this small device will solve many of the problems related to its previous sensor that were reported.
It is not a secret the lack of precision of the Wii remote control has been a source of criticism for the games console.
Starting from June 8th, the Wii MotionPlus will be available in United States. It is supposed this device will fix the problem successfully by using gyroscopic sensors to replicate player’s movements precisely. This way, some activities such as sword dueling, disc throwing and golf will be watched on the screen with better precision.
