Some Neanderthals were probably redheads, a new genetic study has suggested.
The experts that carried out the research, whose results were published in Science journal, extracted DNA from the remains of two Neanderthals and they conserved part of an important gene called MC1R.
Neanderthal Men are classified as a Homo genus, and they inhabited Europe and parts of western Asia during the Paleolithic period.
In modern people, a change or mutation in this gene produces the red hair but, until now, no one knew what hair colour our extinct relatives had.

Scientific Discoveries
The next project, led by Sandisk, will be a portable device that users will use to transfer video from PC to TV.
The Sansa TakeTV will include a USB drive, a remote control and an unit with all the necessary to connect with the TV. By using this gadget, the users will be able to transfer video files from the PC and later play them on TV.
Simultaneously with this announcement, SanDisk has launched an online video service, called Fanfara. It offers TV shows for download competing with Apple’s iTunes or Amazon as a new video download service.
The TakeTV player will be available in two versions, 4GB and 8GB, although currently it is in beta phase. This link will allow you to see how the device works and what options are offered.

Although this site is not new, because it was launched two years ago approximately, we want to remind you or even introduce you to this excellent tool due to the new improvements that have been made in the last months.
Meebo is a webpage where you can login to one or all of the following IM services, if you have an account there: AIM, Yahoo! Messenger, Google Talk, Windows Live Messenger, ICQ and Jabber.
Or even you can login to your Meeebo account and you have access to all of your instant messaging accounts with this single sign-on. It is a great tool if we are traveling or simply if we are out and our main computer is not with us.
The interface is really nice because they are using AJAX (a programming language based on Javascript), so you can drag and drop the message boxes around the screen. Also you have to check “Meebo Rooms” because they are a really nice version of chat rooms with great sharing capabilities among users.
They have other great available products. For example, meebo me. If you have a website or blog, you can chat with your website’s visitors in real time by using meebo me. This tool is customizable. Really cool!
And now, they just launched an add-on for the Firefox Web browser, so you don’t need to open a page to login to your account. Very useful!
