Curvy Women would have smarter children

Curvy Women would have smarter childrenCurvy women can have smarter children due to the high content of polyunsaturated fatty acids in hips. These acids are very important for development of the brain in the fetus.

This statement was revealed by a research that will be published on the official magazine of the Human Behavior and Evolution Society this week. The research has been carried out by the Universities of Pittsburgh (Pennsylvania) and California.

According to an extract of the research that was diffused today, in different cognitive tests that were developed, the curvy women’s children had an intelligence quotient  greater than  children of mothers who have narrow hips.

The fact that the children of mothers with wide hips and a narrow waist scored high on the intelligence tests that were carried out, produced a conclusion that was announced by William Lassek of the University of Pittsburgh and Steven Gaulin, of California. In this announcement they said the fetuses are benefitted by a rich supply of polyunsaturated fatty acids according to the results.

Sony to launch a new version of the PlayStation 2

Sony to launch a new version of the PlayStation 2The Japanese company Sony announced on Tuesday its plans to launch a lighter version of its PlayStation 2 game console at the end of the month,  in a bid to get more sales of this machine, that is seven years old, before the year-end holidays.

The new model has a built-in AC adaptor and weighs 720 grams, less than the previous model which weighs 850 grams total including its external adapter.

Since the new machine’s power cord comes without a voluminous adapter, it will be easier for players to enjoy the PS2 in any place of the house, Sony Corp’s games unit said on Tuesday.

This version will come out for sale in Japan on November 22, for 16.000 yens (about US $140), the same price of the previous model. Dates for the launch in the rest of the world will be decided later.
