Jimdo: Build and launch your website without knowing anything about HTML with this cool editor
Jimdo is an AJAX site editor created by three friends from Germany. It is a useful resource to build and launch a website without knowing anything about HTML or software coding because everything is managed by a visual edition tool where you change texts, place or upload photos, modify colors, layouts, videos, flash movies, etc.
Even, you can build a site taking another website as initial template. (Of course, you should change some things in order to avoid design plagiarism!). Now, if you prefer work directly on the code, you can do it, but only if you want.
As they say: Jimdo is so easy your grandmother can use it.
They have a free version that allows to use a jimbo subdomain in order to host the website: yourname.jimdo.com, but this version include some text-ads. But, if you want, you can upgrade yourself to a pro account (JimdoPro). It allows to use your own domain name. Besides that, JimdoPro is ad-free.
Their accounts for customers start with 500 MB of storage which is usually enough for a small website. The pro accounts are starting from $6.
