NASA discovers a new moon of Saturn
It is the 60th moon of Saturn that is the second planet with the largest tally of moons in the solar system next to Jupiter, which has 63. NASA recently revealed this discovery.
The discovery of the natural satellite was possible thanks to the “Cassini” spacecraft that orbits around of the fifth planet in the solar system. The moon has not any name yet, reported the Space Science Institute in Boulder, Colorado.
The small satellite is only 1.2 miles (2 kilometers) wide and orbits around Saturn on a distance of 1.09 million miles (1.76 million kilometers) from the planet, approximately the half distance between the Earth and our Moon.
The discovery was named “S/2007 S 4″ and near to that, the Cassini spacecraft found other two similar satellites: Methone and Pallene are 2.4 miles wide approximately.
