Sandisk moves into video download marketThe next project, led by Sandisk, will be a portable device that users will use to transfer video from PC to TV. 

The Sansa TakeTV will include a USB drive, a remote control and an unit with all the necessary to connect with the TV. By using this gadget, the users will be able to transfer video files from the PC and later play them on TV.

Simultaneously with this announcement, SanDisk has launched an online video service, called Fanfara. It offers TV shows for download competing with Apple’s iTunes or Amazon as a new video download service.

The TakeTV player will be available in two versions, 4GB and 8GB, although currently it is in beta phase. This link will allow you to see how the device works and what options are offered.
